View list

Closing date for bids midnight February 22 2011, UK time

At the AGM, Stampex, Design Centre, Islington, February 25, 2012 or emailed to the editor
Welcome to our second live auction, which will involve both postal and live bidding to allow all members the chance to add some fine material to their collections.

* The Auctioneer is our editor, see the QC for address details.

* Bids may be received by email or post to the auctioneer in accordance with the following bidding steps:

£1-£5, 50p; £5-£20, £1; £20-£50, £2; £50-£100, £5; over £100 at the auctioneer's discretion

* Postal bids may be received up to the end of February 22. Room bidding will start at the top postal bid. The final winner will be decided in the normal way - one bidding step above the second-highest bid. The winning price will be announced in the room; lists of Prices Realised will be sent to all vendors.

* Winning bids will attract a 10 per cent commission to aid Circle funds.

* Material won in the room may be paid for and collected on the day. Please see Mike Murphy for total due, and make payment to Brian Sedgley.

* Material won by postal bidders will be invoiced (preferably by email) within five days and must be paid in full before it is sent out. Payment may be made by cheque on a UK bank payable to the Egypt Study Circle or preferably via PayPal or MoneyBookers to escauction@hotmail.com. PayPal payments are subject to a 4% surcharge to counter PayPal's commission.

* Postage will not normally be charged, but winners of bulky, heavy or awkward material (designated by an asterisk * in the auction list), may be required to fund postage costs. Requests for special despatch terms will mean additions to the invoice.

* Payments to successful vendors will be made as soon as possible after the Auction.

* Material not sold on February 25 will be held for inclusion in the Circle's regular Auction 51.
