The two pyramids were those for the First Issue, 1866-1867, with the narrow section either to the left or right. Also found inverted.

Third from left, the narrow star and crescent was used for the Second Issue, 1867, and the postage dues of 1884. These were not true watermarks but were impressed into the paper after manufacture. Also found inverted.

Fourth from left, "fatter" star and crescent used for the Third Issue, which was in use from 1872 to 1879. Also found inverted.

Narrower Star and crescent, found in two forms, used for the De La Rue issues of 1879-1920. Also found inverted and facing to left or right sideways.

Multiple star and crescent facing to the right was used on the Harrison printings of 1921-1926. Also found facing in all three other directions.

Multiple royal cipher (second from left), used by the Survey Department 1925-1957. Also found inverted, reversed, facing right and left.
